Behavioral Technical

I landed a desktop support tech job at a school. First, a recruiter called to ask about my background and why I wanted the job, which wasn't technical. Then, I had an interview with the actual company where they asked about my background and some technical questions about networking and troubleshooting. It was pretty basic. The company decided quickly, and I heard back by the end of the week.

It was a phone and in-person interview. The phone call included some technical questions, but the in-person interview was pretty straightforward and not too stressful. My advice is to look up info on Google. The interviewers were looking for someone who can effectively explain how the IT infrastructure connects with the company's goals, has experience with strategic planning for setting a vision, goals, and objectives for a big system, and understands the management practices needed to lead people and stakeholders through putting an IT strategic plan into action.

  • Can you tell me if you know how to image a laptop?
