Case Presentation

I first had a chat with HR, then I was given a really in-depth case study. I spent a ton of time working on it, but it seems like they didn't even look at it since I checked the tracking links.

Case Behavioral

I applied for a job that was open for a long time. They said they only interview candidates they think are good enough. For this PM role, candidates get a big case study to do in just 48 hours. If you want to work at Insider and like your job, you'll try really hard on this case study. It's important to get feedback on it, and it takes a lot of time. We all make mistakes, so it's natural to wonder what the interviewers thought, what feedback they had, if their decision was fair, what you lacked, and where you could get better. But even after asking and waiting a whole month, I got no feedback, so I never found out the answers. It feels like the time and effort I put into Insider was wasted. Insider, being a big company in 28 countries, really needs to get better at giving interview feedback and show candidates they respect their time. I'm sharing this with my fellow product people who value their time.

Behavioral Technical

I got contacted by HR on Hired. First, there was a 30 min chat with HR, then a 30 min Zoom call with the hiring manager. I didn't get past that, but they mentioned there'd be another chat with someone from product and someone from tech to see how I fit.
