A recruiter from a staffing agency reached out, and they set up the interviews with INRIX. The whole process took a while because I was first contacted back in December 2015, and it was tricky to schedule things around the holidays. I did a 30-minute phone screen, followed by a 1-hour in-person screen. After that, I went in for a full interview loop, which included five coding interviews. One of these was during lunch where I had pizza while being interviewed. The last step was a 30-minute meeting with HR, and they gave me a tour. They asked for references the day after, and I got an offer two days later.

Had a 45 min phone screen with an engineering VP. Then waited two weeks with no word. After that, another 45 min phone screen with an engineer. About a week later, I had a two hour video call with two more engineers. Then a week after that, a final one hour video interview with another engineer. In total, I had 5 separate one-hour sessions with engineers. The interviews themselves were not hard, the people were nice and easy to chat with. But the HR communication was terrible. I was never told what the interview process would be or how long it would take. They also never followed up after my last interview. Very unprofessional!

This was a really unprofessional and disorganized interview. Nobody seemed to know what they were supposed to be doing. I asked for an interview guide to know what to focus on, like needing to practice Vue.js. They said I'd get algorithms, data structures, and some JS. But then they just threw a Vue.js problem at me. It wasn't super hard, but without any prep, it was impossible in 15 minutes.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Update fields using Vue.js, even if you haven't used Vue in over two years, and explicitly request the interview guide.
