Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Inovalon.
Manager
It was a long, drawn-out process with many people involved. The video interviewing only worked about half the time, and one interviewer even missed the call entirely. Most of the interviews felt uncoordinated, with interviewers seeming unprepared and reading my resume in real-time.
- Can you break down your typical day into a pie chart with 3-4 components that total 100%?
Management
Great interview - spoke with 4 or 5 different people and got a very detailed view of the Company, position requirement and benefits. The people in the workplace were all very friendly. I was impressed with the way the work spaces are arranged where everyone can see a large window, and groups can easily collaborate. The offer came quickly, negotiations were easy and I was hired in a day.
- There were some weird problem-solving questions, but otherwise it was very straightforward.
Manager
I was contacted by a recruiter for an initial screening. After that, I had a very long conversation (over 2 hours) with 5 senior directors individually. It was a really interesting discussion, and honestly didn't feel much like a formal interview, but the people and recruiter were great.

- What's your reason for leaving your current job?
