Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at InMotion Entertainment.
Sales Associate
It was a pretty straightforward interview. They asked some questions about my past jobs and some situational questions. They also wanted to know why I thought I'd be a good fit and asked about my schedule and if I was in school.
- Do you have prior experience in sales or customer service?
- What is your employment history?
- Tell me about your past work experience.
Sales Associate
Had a short 10-minute phone screen with corporate HR, then a 1:1 phone interview with the Hiring Manager. After that, HR did a background check which took quite a bit of time. Finally, there was fingerprinting and a background check with the homeland security TSA agency. The background check process is really thorough.
- Tell me what makes you the best candidate for this role.
- Describe your approach to handling upset customers.
- Can you work flexible hours?
Sales Associate
I applied online on their website and had to fill out a questionnaire. A few days later, I got an email asking for my availability for a phone interview. I scheduled it for the next week, but they didn't call at the scheduled time. They mentioned their calling hours were 11-12 am and 1-3 pm, but they called me at 4:30 pm. During the call, they asked me some phone screening questions. After the questions, they said they'd contact me in a few weeks if they were moving forward with my application.
- What aspects of your previous job did you find enjoyable?
- What aspects of your previous job did you find least enjoyable?
- Could you explain the reasons for leaving your previous employment?
