Applied for a business English teaching job. Got contacted within a day or two to set up a Skype interview. It went well. At the end of that interview, I was asked to do a follow-up interview. For that, I had to prepare and email a lesson plan in advance, then teach 20 minutes of it. That also went well, and I got feedback afterwards. Later the same day, I was offered the job. The interview process was very efficient, and the interviewer was helpful and informative.

I had an on-the-spot interview when I visited the site. They immediately stated that the school only hires native speakers. Even though I have years of experience in the UK and internationally, plus Cambridge qualifications, they suggested I teach my native language, which isn't my specialization or interest. They discussed the contract type and job conditions, but mentioned that they and other centers in Florence prefer not to hire non-native English speakers. It was a really disheartening and demeaning experience where I felt undervalued.

First, there was a phone call. Then, an online training to complete (noted). After that, a course to prepare and deliver to 2 or 3 members of the inlingua staff. There was also an informal chat with the Operations Manager and/or a staff member.
