The hiring manager, who I think was the head of sales, interviewed me. I'd read good reviews about Ink Global's work environment, but my interview experience in Malaysia/Singapore felt overwhelming. The initial recruiter call went well; the recruiter was direct and congratulated me on passing. The second stage, however, was unexpected. The interviewer asked me to share information not on my CV, which initially surprised me as I hadn't prepared for it. Although I had a pitch deck ready to showcase my sales skills for this sales role, the interviewer declined to see it when I offered. They then asked company-specific questions, which I answered due to my research. The interview took a turn when the interviewer stated I wasn't the candidate they were seeking, explaining they needed a 'hunter' and saw me as a 'farmer.' I asked about training, and they confirmed it was available, but when I inquired about converting a 'farmer' into a 'hunter,' they directly said, 'not with you.' Upon asking for clarification on 'hunter' vs. 'farmer,' they resorted to searching the internet. I thanked them and ended the session. The emphasis on why I wasn't the right fit made me feel distressed, but I wish the company well.

I had a bad experience with the first round, a phone interview with a Talent Specialist. We emailed to set up a time, and I waited for her call on the scheduled date, but she ghosted me. When I emailed, she said she was on sick leave, but she replied really fast, which made me suspicious. A few days later, she emailed again to set up an appointment, but only gave me one time slot. I found this unprofessional and was disappointed. On the day of the interview, her tone was cold, making me uncomfortable. She started by asking if I had any questions about the role without introducing herself.

I sent my CV on a Thursday and got a call from the Recruitment & HR Manager about 30 minutes later. We talked about why I moved to London, and I was invited for an interview on Tuesday at the Ink HQ. I wasn't expecting much because many companies promise the world with flashy websites. However, Glassdoor reviews made me a bit curious about Ink. The HQ was easy to reach. After a long chat with the HR Manager, I met the Sales Manager. We talked for a long time, and I felt they really wanted to know me. They asked if I could start immediately, and I said yes. They then set up an interview with the Sales Director for the same day. After lunch, I had my third interview. The Sales Director seemed to be testing me to make me nervous, but I felt comfortable and like I'd fit in. It seems I did, because I got hired and started the very next day. It was the best interview experience I've ever had. Even after a few days at work, I'm still excited about starting my training, and the colleagues are great, making it easy to get to work.

Applied online, got a call 2 days later for an HR interview. The HR was great and motivating. Then came the tasks to proceed: 1) Identify 20+ potential companies for advertising in a specific inflight magazine, including contacts for Marketing Directors, and prepare a pitch for the CFO and publisher. 2) Film a video selling your best friend and give 5 reasons to work for Ink. Felt like these tasks were free work for the company, generating ideas instead of assessing skills. Despite reservations, I completed the tasks and went to the final interview. The final interview was terrible. Met two unsmiling people who didn't offer water. The managers seemed uninterested. No company introduction was given. The interview was awkward and made me question the office vibe. My advice: avoid this company unless you have nothing better to do.
