Media Planner
The recruiter and the panel I interviewed with were super friendly. They asked technical questions to make sure I had the necessary skills for the role. It felt pretty straightforward if you know digital marketing well. The panel also asked questions to get a feel for my personality and see if I'd be a good fit for the team.
- What's your approach to creating a media plan for a client aiming for a young adult audience?
Media Planner
Got referred by someone internally, who sent my resume to HR. HR took a while to respond and seemed rushed during our initial call, which felt more like an odd first impression than a real interview. HR then arranged Skype interviews with different account teams. Within a few days, I got a phone call about which teams were interested. Had one actual Skype interview before getting hired. My advice is to ask about a typical day from someone in the same role, what challenges current employees have faced, and try to meet everyone on the team. Your first impression matters as much as theirs.
- Tell me why you are interested in advertising.
- Can you walk me through your previous work experiences?
Media Planner
I submitted a general resume and then got a call from HR. After that, I had an interview call 3 days later, and then an offer 3 days after that. The interview was with a Director and Supervisor and was really smooth and stress-free.
- Can you tell me about the basics of media planning and your ability to manage work, especially planning and implementation?
- Do you have any HR-related questions?
- Do you have any questions for us?
