The interview process was quite demanding, involving a take-home assignment. Although the people I spoke with seemed pleasant, the HR department really messed up regarding follow-up and communication, leaving no closure. I had to chase them for information and was then passed to someone I hadn't even spoken to before, which left a negative impression.

I met with the CFO for a one-on-one interview in the office. We talked about the role, the company, what they're looking for, my background, my strengths and weaknesses, and what I expect salary-wise. They really dug into my resume's experience and education. It was pretty direct, and they asked some behavioral questions, including about the differences between corporate and non-profit accounting. Haven't heard back since then.

So, there were a few interview rounds. The first one was actually in person. I talked with a bunch of the staff about what I've done before and my education. It was a 2-hour thing, split into 4 parts, each about 30 minutes. Different interviewers for each part. It felt pretty good. I moved on to the next round and then the one after that. Honestly, they all felt pretty similar, asking about my school, my work history, and why I want to work here. The third round involved a take-home assignment that I got beforehand. Then I met with some people to go over how I solved it and answer questions about it. They told me the final decision a few days later.

The ICCC interview process had three rounds. First, a phone screen. Second, an interview with the Director and the whole team, which included an Excel test. Finally, a "fit" test with the team and a meeting with the CEO. (This was for a 2017 application, so it may have changed). The second round was the hardest; it involved doing mock calls with small businesses you were trying to recruit, and they would try to catch you off guard, but it was really about how you handled it. The "fit" test with the team had team-building exercises, like describing a photo for someone to draw and designing your ideal office space.
