First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ingram Micro.
Software Engineer
I didn't get past the first round. They wanted to know about my interests and have me explain my resume. When I asked about the interview process and if there were technical parts, they seemed annoyed.
- Can you tell me about your resume?
Software Engineer Intern
The final round for the Senior Cloud Solutions Architect role was intense but collaborative. The hiring manager was really interested in my experience with Xvantage and how I handle complicated multi-vendor cloud migration projects. I used the STAR method to explain a successful transition where I optimized a client's licensing model, showing both technical skill and commercial understanding. The emphasis on integrity and openness fits perfectly with my professional values.
- Can you describe your approach to managing complex multi-vendor cloud migration projects?
Software Developer
The whole interview process was conducted in a group discussion (GD) setting, covering both the technical interview and the HR round. They mainly assessed if you are open to the world. In the interview, they let you speak in front of others, which I really liked. They made me feel comfortable right from the start. It was a new and great experience for me.
- Can you explain basic and advanced Java concepts with examples?
- What are some technologies you are familiar with?
- Could you describe your projects?
