Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Ingram Micro.
Marketing Manager
It was a lengthy process that spanned three months and involved several interviews. I didn't get to chat with the recruiter, who was based in Manila, so all our communication was through email.
- What makes you the best candidate for this role?
Marketing Manager
I interviewed for 3 marketing positions and met with a Senior Manager and a Director. Each was a 1:1 in-person meeting. They were all very professional and direct, happy to share details about the role. They were interested in my past successes and respected my time, understanding I was considering other opportunities. They made me feel like a valued potential team member. I expected a follow-up within a week, and they did extend an offer in that timeframe. Overall, a very professional process.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What would you say is your greatest strength?
- What do you consider your greatest weakness?
Digital Marketing Manager
Had a phone screen with the Marketing Director. Discussed my marketing experience, shared an example of a marketing plan, and talked about an up sell marketing strategy. Also went through my knowledge of the technology.
- Can you tell me about a challenge you've faced and how you overcame it?
- How would you approach an upsell marketing strategy?
