Interviewed in December 2017. The process took about 4 weeks. First round was phone screening and the questions were mostly behavioral. Second round was onsite at Gainesville, FL office, where I got to meet the team and interviewed for the position. The panel was really interactive. The questions were both behavioral and technical.

It was a typical interview process for the industry, but not in a great way. Had several phone interviews with regular folks, followed by a Zoom panel interview with a bunch of typical programmers. They were rapid-fire asking questions, covering hypothetical scenarios to definitions, all while looking at me from their black screens. They mentioned 45 to 55 hours of work per week as 'good work life balance'.

After sending in my application, I got an email to set up an interview. Some people I would work with asked me questions to see if I was a good fit. A few weeks later, I got an email with their decision. If it was good, they set up another meeting to tell me about the specific role I would have.

  • Do you understand relational databases?
  • Let's do a small coding challenge to see how you solve problems.
