Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Infosys BPM.
Accountant
A walking interview that included written questions on accounting principles, plus a personal interview. If you pass the personal interview, you get to move on to a managerial round where they'll discuss project details and requirements.
- What are your salary expectations regarding increments?
Junior Accountant
Infosys's hiring process usually kicks off with an online assessment. This test generally covers quant aptitude, logical reasoning, verbal ability, and sometimes coding if it's a tech job. If you pass the online test, you'll move on to a technical interview. They'll check your technical skills, how you solve problems, and if you know the right tools or languages. For jobs that aren't techy, they'll quiz you on stuff specific to that field. Lastly, there's an HR interview to see how well you communicate, if you're a good fit for the company, what your career plans are, and what salary you're looking for. Expect to get asked behavioral questions and talk about your resume in this round. It might be a little different depending on the job and how much experience you have.
- Can you tell me about your past career experiences?
- Could you elaborate on your previous work history?
- What are your long-term career goals?
Assistant Accountant
You'll go through an HR round, then an aptitude round, and then a direct technical round after completing these two. The aptitude part is easy, and they'll ask a few basic accounting topics. They mainly want to see how you communicate your answers. Just prepare the basics. This is for a mid-level role. They'll ask about SAP functionality tcodes. During the interview, try to keep your answers simple; making them too complex might lead to more questions. So, it's better to be simple and to the point.
- Can you explain basic accounting principles?
- Do you have experience with SAP? If so, can you list some t-codes?
