The interview process was very tiring and time-consuming. It took almost 8 hrs to complete all the rounds, that too on a weekday. There were 5 rounds in total, with 3 technical rounds and the rest being managerial and HR rounds. I cleared all of them, and at the end, I had the HR interview to talk about salary and other benefits. After all these rounds finished, I got an email after 2 days for documentation, to which I replied with the necessary documents asked. Since then, I haven't heard back from them, and it's been over a month now. When I called HR, she initially didn't pick up, but finally did. When I asked about the status, she rudely said the position is closed and they'll get back to me if they find similar requirements in the future. I don't see any reason to reject my profile after clearing every round with good feedback, and also, I only have a 1-month notice period. My suggestion to the Company is to give a proper reason for rejecting a candidate after all the documentation. Please understand that an interviewee has to take a day off for the interview, and if they don't hear back, they feel cheated. This damages the employer's reputation and reduces the motivation for candidates to join. Hope this issue is addressed soon so nobody else faces this.

So, the interview was on campus. It had a total of 6 rounds. First was a written test, mostly focusing on GATE questions covering OS, DBMS, algorithms, and data structures. Then came a coding test with 4 questions, mainly testing basic logic and linked list concepts. After that, there were two technical rounds, both concentrating on DBMS, OOPs, Linux, data structures, and puzzles. Following those, there was an MR round with basic questions and some puzzles, and finally, an HR round.

I was invited for an interview on a weekend, which was fine as I didn't have much else to do. Since it was a QA role, the questions were about basic QA, Automation, and Java. My first interview was at 10 AM and wrapped up around 5:30 PM, after completing 3 technical rounds, 1 managerial, and 1 HR round. I was happy to pass. They then invited me back on a weekday for salary negotiations, which felt odd since it could have been a phone call. They said they like to spend more time with those they hire, so I took a half-day leave to go in. To my surprise, I had to go through 3 more technical rounds with the hiring manager and team members. This is where the actual interview process began, and it felt like they took my time for granted, as they could have scheduled these on the weekend. It seems the weekend feedback doesn't matter, and the hiring decision is based on the manager/team feedback. My advice to others interviewing here: don't cancel other plans or take leave for Informatica, as they seem to have a lot of time to waste and will waste yours too.
