Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Infor.
Inside Sales Representative
The interview process took over 5 months. The manager interviewed candidates without headcount or budget approval. He told a group they were selected and awaiting HR approval, but after 4 months, it turned out he had no headcount approval because they were offering high packages to poach people from Oracle. The interview's main goal was to confirm if you were a top Oracle performer and to convince you to leave Oracle for Infor. Infor has similar or worse politics and management issues than Oracle, and they lack hiring budgets. Redundancies and headcount cuts began while people were still being hired and onboarded, which speaks volumes about the company's situation. The manager even suggested I should feel lucky he was interviewing me and that even a few months' experience would be valuable on a resume, despite potential redundancy. He seemed to be identifying temporary positions and trying to poach Oracle's team.
- The goal was to verify if you are among Oracle's top employees and to gather more names for interviews.
- They wanted to confirm you are one of Oracle's top employees and collect more names to interview.
Inside Sales Representative
I spoke with the Global Sales Director and the Inside Sales Director. They asked me about my experience and what I look for in teammates or the kind of team I prefer working on. A lot of the interview was me asking them questions about the company and the role. It was very conversational and they seemed like friendly people. They were looking for someone who not only fits the role with their skills and experience, but also someone who fits well with their personality and character.
- What factors have most led to your success?
- What kind of team environment do you thrive in?
- Describe your previous manager.
Inside Sales
Julie Boyer reached out to me through LinkedIn, the process was pretty smooth. She made me do an interview with the manager Maggie Martin which was pretty friendly too. THEN, I was supposed to get a feedback the coming week, NOTHING, they kept saying ''it's the end of the quarter...'' for 2 months! I decided to reach out to the Manager after few emails left with no answer sent to the recruiter. But same result! How disrespectful it's to contact people, taking their time for 2 interviews, saying that they will follow up next week, and keep saying this for weeks! Anyways from what I've read on the other experiences, sadly that's an habit at informing!
- Can you tell me about your previous relevant experience?
