The process was pretty straightforward. They really wanted to dive deep into my background, understanding my experience with business processes, any special projects I'd worked on, and specifically my skills in budget analysis. A key area of focus was my experience managing program budgets over $150 million. It felt more like a conversation than a formal interview.

I was contacted by a recruiter about a contract role. The rate was a bit lower than I wanted, but they kept reaching out until I agreed. The recruiter suggested I'd be contacted by the hiring manager for an interview since they were early in recruiting for this position and thought my resume was strong. Unfortunately, neither the recruiter nor the hiring manager ever got back to me, despite my follow-up emails. It's really frustrating to be ghosted by recruiters, and this company needs to improve their process.

Behavioral Group Presentation

The interview process had 3 rounds. The first round was a 3-hour interview that went well and wasn't too intense, mostly focused on introductions and understanding your grasp of things. Then there was a group discussion where they'd give a topic for open discussion, and they'd mostly ask how you'd approach it, or sometimes it was their own topic. This round was a bit challenging. The last round was with the CEO, a managerial round, where they'd check your confidence and understanding.

The interview process included a phone call and an in-person meeting. We spoke with HR, the Team Lead, and then had a final round with the Director and Recruitment Manager. There was a basic screening, a written test, a strings test, and a technical interview. The process involved both a phone interview and a face-to-face interview. They asked for a summary of my overall US recruitment experience, and assessed my knowledge of tax terms and Rek understanding.
