Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Infobip.
Senior Sales Manager
You'll have an interview via Goto Meet with a hiring manager in Sarajevo. If that goes well, you'll get an assignment where you need to map out your go-to-market plan for Infobip products in your area and identify 5 target customers. For those customers, you'll need to list the job titles of the contacts you'd reach out to, explain how you'd engage with different levels within their organization, and describe your end-to-end sales process. If that's successful, there's a second interview with the managers you'd report to. Successful candidates will then travel to Croatia for two weeks of training.
- What prompted your departure from your last role?
Sales Manager
I heard about the company at a college presentation. I applied for a managerial role, but they initially sent me a developer test, not realizing what I applied for. After I emailed them to correct the mistake, they set up an in-person interview. The interview went well, it was mostly professional but also casual. I met several people from the company, and they seemed really impressed with me. They offered me the job and an invitation to their training campus, which I accepted. We ended on good terms. A few days later, they scheduled another interview that felt very similar to the first one – everything was good, funny, intellectual, just great. The day before I was supposed to leave for the training campus, HR called to say they were rescinding the campus invitation. Their reason was concern that my temper might negatively affect my negotiating skills, with a quote about how my temper could cause issues negotiating with 'negros in Africa' because they are 'hard and stubborn' and I wouldn't fit in well. It was a very bad experience overall with a really unprofessional and offensive ending.
- What's the very first thing you think of when you see a rainbow?
- Can you explain why airplanes are able to fly?
Sales Manager
I was living abroad during the hiring process, so the initial interviews were conducted remotely via Skype. Then, after I relocated to the country, I had a final in-person meeting at their regional office. The main purpose of the in-person meeting was for us to meet face-to-face and for them to confirm I was a real person. :)
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you tell me about the company?
- What do you know about the industry?
