First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Infineon Technologies.
Working Student
There were two rounds for this interview. Both were technical. I spoke with a manager in one round and an engineer who seems to be a mentor in the other. The questions weren't too hard, mainly asking about the specifics of my projects and then diving deeper into them. It was quite impersonal; I couldn't see their faces and they didn't introduce themselves.
- Could you elaborate on the details of your projects?
Working Student
The application process kicked off with an online introductory chat where I was asked general questions and got a preview of what's next. Then, there was a face-to-face meeting that went on for more than an hour. During this meeting, I faced a lot of detailed questions and had the chance to tackle a case study. For this case study, I had 10 minutes to prep and then had to give my presentation in English. All in all, I got feedback pretty quickly on whether I got the job or not.
- What has been your biggest challenge in the past two years?
- In which task did you particularly flourish?
- In which task did you find it less so?
Working Student
The interview usually starts with a quick greeting. The interviewers introduce themselves, and there's often some small talk to make things comfortable. Then, the interviewer will give you an overview of the company, its values, the department, and the job you're applying for. This is a good time to ask some initial questions to show your interest. After that, you'll be asked to introduce yourself. A common question is: 'Tell us about yourself.' You should use this to briefly summarize your background, skills, and why you're interested in the role. Finally, there will be specific questions about your knowledge, skills, and experience.
- What is your understanding of digitalization?
