Had a really bad interview experience with Infineon. I got through two technical rounds, a managerial round, and the HR round. They were going to give me an offer, but at the very last minute, HR called to say they weren't moving forward with hiring me because of a hiring freeze. It's a shame because if I didn't already have another offer, this could have been a big problem for me. I don't get why companies like Infineon waste people's time.

Behavioral Technical

I had two interviews, one with HR and another with the hiring manager. It was an interesting and friendly conversation. They said they'd get back to me in 2-3 weeks because they had many candidates. I followed up and they said they were still in the process. Now, 10 weeks later, I still haven't heard back. I know you're busy, but please value candidates' time and effort and provide feedback or a clear rejection. No communication is not acceptable, especially for a company like Infineon, where they asked about my communication style!

Presentation Technical Behavioral

The interview had two parts: a technical presentation and an in-person chat with an HR Talent Attraction Manager. The technical presentation let me go into detail about my resume (education, job) and introduce myself to the team. A following FAQ allowed for in-depth questions from both sides. It was very pleasant and satisfactory. The interview with HR afterwards surprised me. I was expecting standard questions and a group of senior HR people to grill me (a bit exaggerated). But everything turned out differently than expected: a face-to-face meeting with ONE Talent Attraction Manager. And the way the conversation went was something I hadn't experienced before. She gave me the chance to lead the conversation with general questions and decide myself when to share information. This way, I was never put on the spot, and she got all the necessary information. Bravo! It was really very pleasant. Even when an answer needed a little thought, she kindly said 'take your time'. This is how a job interview should go. Oh yes, we used the informal 'you' from the start.
