First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Infineon Technologies.
Data Scientist Intern
I had one interview with the manager I would be reporting to. It was a short call where they talked about the job scope and the team. They also asked about my previous experiences. They seemed to be primarily looking for someone who is eager to learn and shows initiative.
- Can you share an example of a time you demonstrated initiative?
Data Scientist
I had an online interview with the team lead on Zoom. It was supposed to be in English since that's the job description and working language, but the interviewer started in German. I can't speak German, so we switched to English, and their English was pretty basic. I tried to answer everything they asked, but I didn't get the job. They didn't say why, but I'm guessing it was because of the language barrier.
- Could you discuss your master's thesis?
- Can you tell me about your projects?
- Have you worked with visualization tools before?
Data Scientist
I applied through their website and then scheduled the interview via email. The interview was conducted on Webex, which I had to install beforehand. The interviewer was super nice and gave me a good overview of the role. The questions weren't too tough and were mainly about my past experiences.
- Tell me about yourself.
- Can you discuss some experiences from your resume?
- What are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?
