There were 3 rounds in the interview. First was a DSA and Java basics check. Second was about Java and LLD. The last round was a chat with the CTO. For all rounds, focus on solving problems, coding, and design skills.

It was a 3-round process. We had 2 technical rounds focused on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), and one manager round. The technical rounds included a question about the left view of a tree and a variation of the stock-span problem. We also discussed elevator design, checking for design pattern implementation, and complex SQL queries. My tip is to brush up on React concepts and the specific technologies for the role.

The interview started with a recruiter call, followed by three technical rounds. The first technical round focused on data structures, specifically sorting 0s and 1s efficiently, and core Java concepts like Spring IOC/DI, Singleton vs. Static, String memory allocation, and static vs. instance variables. The second round delved into Spring annotations, Java serialization, JVM reflection, building RESTful web services with Spring Boot, and distinguishing between RestController and Controller annotations, along with Java core questions. The third round covered sorting strings by frequency, Spring filters, DBMS ACID properties, transaction handling for bank transfers, API gateway and microservices advantages, exception handling in RESTful services, load balancers, RestTemplate, Spring Cloud, Feign Client, microservice communication, Spring Boot transactions, and JpaRepository features. After clearing these three rounds, a 3-hour CTO round was scheduled. The candidate found the request to take a half-day leave during COVID times to accommodate the interview extremely unprofessional, leading to an overall negative experience and a feeling of wasted time.
