Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Indra.
Systems Engineer
Applied online on their webpage. Had three phone calls where HR discussed my resume and past experiences. Then took online tests for language, IQ, and personality. The last interview was with an engineering manager.
- Can you share a time when you faced and resolved a challenging situation?
Systems Engineer
I first approached the company at a university career fair and handed over my CV. They then scheduled an interview for the same week. I ended up having two interviews at their office. The first one involved a technical test with some basic programming questions, a UML diagram for class inheritance, and HTML. The second interview included a personality test to see if I was a good fit for them. They also gave me a preliminary offer during this second interview to ensure I wouldn't accept another job. The whole process was quite quick, with the two interviews happening within a week. Since Indra focuses on project management and development, it was straightforward compared to outsourcing roles that might require client interviews.
- Remember how UML diagrams look before the test.
Systems Engineer
The process has at least two stages. The first is with HR, where they ask general questions about your studies and experience, some personal questions, and briefly check your English level. The second stage is the technical interview, where they assess your skills based on your experience and ask general questions about the technical area of the position, not too detailed, just to know what you've worked on in the past and what you prefer for the future. They also explain the role and company life in detail; it's not all questions. Finally, you can ask whatever you need, which is useful if anything was left unsaid.
- Can you describe your academic and professional experience, as well as what you value most technically and what you would like to work on in the future?
- Describe your academic and professional experience, and what you value most technically and would like to work on in the future.
