Got an email to schedule a meeting, no phone call before. Still haven't heard back, it was a weird interview. Since it was the first step, I thought it would be more about culture, soft skills, work style, and company fit. But it was only about academic and professional stuff. Felt like the interviewer was unprepared and not paying attention. Bad experience, and still no word.

I applied in April 2021. They didn't call me, but sent a message asking me to do a design challenge to proceed. I sent it back, but after about a month of no response, I was rejected. Since the task was very specific, I'd appreciate knowing why it was rejected because these things reflect badly on a company.
