Research Associate
It was an interview with professors about the research project. They asked me data science and transport modeling questions. We discussed my career progress. Since it's a research project, they clarified the daily work. They also asked if I knew specific software and if I could work from Roorkee.
- Do you have experience with MATSim, a Java-based open-source transport modeling software?
Teaching Assistant
For GNR, IIT B, students are selected based on their GATE cutoff. Then, an interview is conducted, which carries 30% weightage, while the GATE score has 70% weightage. Based on this, the admission results will be released on the COAPS portal after all the processes are completed.

Machine Learning Intern
The interview had two rounds. The first round focused on theoretical knowledge of machine learning algorithms and model architectures. The second round involved practical implementation and a project, specifically working with Large Language Models like Llama and BERT, covering their applications from natural language processing to image recognition.

PhD Student
The interview process was technical and centered around the project I applied for. It started with basic questions and then dove into conceptual and deep understanding of the subject matter relevant to the discipline. There were three interviewers, all professors, who asked questions about the subject. The focus was also on my project work and any prior internship experience. If my past job experience was relevant to the project, they asked questions from that as well.
