It started with basic questions and then dove into conceptual and deep understanding of the subject matter relevant to the discipline. There were three interviewers, all professors, who asked questions about the subject. The focus was also on my project work and any prior internship experience. If my past job experience was relevant to the project, they asked questions from that as well.
