The interview process was easy and the recruiter was nice and enthusiastic. The location was ideal in Oakbrook and the facilities were nice and the office was spacious. Some of the employees seemed nice too.

This was a pretty long interview process for what they're calling a new grad nurse residency program. They upfront told me the pay wouldn't be great, but I'd have to commit to working there for 13 months, with a $5k penalty if I left early. There's no paid time off, and I'd be traveling about 30 miles per client. The first interviewer asked me a lot of skills-based questions, and the second one asked more personal questions and gave me a homework assignment with more questions about why I think I'm a good fit for the job.

It was a quick process. First, there was a quick initial phone screen. Then, a phone interview with the nursing manager. After that, I was scheduled for pre-employment training and testing. Once I passed the testing, I was able to start working in the field.

Had a long talk with the nurse recruiter about my past patient diagnoses and my experiences with them. We talked about my comfort level with higher acuity. They made really general comments about the work that's expected from the nurse.
