Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Independence Blue Cross.
Analyst
It was pretty straightforward, just a few steps. I had some data methods questions, but they weren't too tough. I talked to directors and managers and only had to come in one day, though some parts were over the phone.
- What kind of SQL experience do you have?
Analyst
The interview process moved rather quickly. Great communication from the recruiter at the beginning, but then they went radio silent. They said they would get back to me early the following week, I followed up later that week and they said no feedback but would follow up soon. It's been 2 weeks now, and I haven't heard anything. I don't appreciate recruiters leaving people without any word. I think it's unfair to the candidate, even though I understand they have their own business needs.
- How do you handle prioritizing urgent tasks?
Billing Analyst
I showed up early and went to the front desk, and they sent me to the interviewer's office. I guess I was supposed to talk to HR first, but nobody said anything. The interview lasted about 20-30 minutes and was really conversational. She asked some basic interview questions, and then we just ended up chatting.
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
