First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Indeed.
Account Executive
It was a pretty standard interview process. It started with 3 interviews, and then about a week later, there was a mock interview. First, I talked to my potential manager, then the head of sales, and after that, a sales team lead who told me about the day-to-day stuff. After those, I had a mock interview with the director of sales for my territory. They gave me the scenario a few days before and I had to do a live cold call. I got the offer about another week after that.
- Can you share an instance where you had to manage a challenging customer, and describe your approach?
Account Executive
The interview process was really thorough and professional. The leaders and the rest of the people I met were great. One thing that stood out was that the managers kept talking about how much they loved coaching, but then when I got to the director level, it was super clear they wanted someone who could hit the ground running immediately. There was also a mock sales call, which, to be honest, not many people do well on.
- How do you prefer to be coached?
- Can you walk me through a mock sales call?
Account Executive
I had a phone screen with the internal recruiter first. Then, I had back-to-back interviews with two Managers. After that, I did a mock client call with one of the Managers and the Director of the team. I got a brief beforehand, but it was kinda vague. The last thing was a one-on-one interview right after with just the Director. They seem to be looking for someone who can really convince clients to buy even more solutions from them. They also don't give any feedback on interviews, which is stated in their email signature.
- How would you encourage an existing client to increase their business with Indeed?
