First up was a chat with the recruiter. Then, a video call with the hiring manager. After that, a technical interview that lasted about an hour. The last part had four separate interviews: a 45-minute product case, a 75-minute machine learning depth interview, a 75-minute machine learning breadth interview, and a 90-minute leadership interview.

The interview process included a phone interview and then an onsite. The onsite had a presentation on a past project to the Data Science team, followed by 4-5 interviews covering technical and leadership skills. The recruiter was very communicative and made for a smooth process. Grand Rounds values culture and mission, and personal development, which was reflected in the interview process with a deep dive into core values, linking past development to the role, and conversations with senior leaders. I was impressed with the team, culture, and their accomplishments.

Technical Coding Behavioral

Got a call from the recruiter to start. Then there was a technical interview which included a general ML question and a coding problem. The final step was an interview with the hiring manager where we discussed the details of my last project. Everything went great and I felt I answered all questions and challenges perfectly. The work they are doing aligns really well with my past work and skills. But I got rejected which was a bummer. I asked for feedback but didn't get any.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • A general coding question and basic ML questions were asked.
  • Could you tell me more about the details of your last project?
