I only made it to the first two phone interviews before realizing this job wasn't for me because I had already taken another position that felt right. The recruiter who first reached out on LinkedIn was unprofessional and thought it was okay to give me unsolicited advice about how long I'd stay in my career after I turned down their offer, while also trying to get me to back out of a commitment I'd made elsewhere. The second person I talked to, though, was really nice, professional, and understood my decision. I have no issues with him, but overall, the interactions I had during this process left a bad feeling and confirmed that I made the right choice by staying with my current company.

I put my resume in the company database and a recruiter contacted me by email less than 2 weeks later (pretty fast even with the end-of-year holidays) saying they had a position that might suit me. Phone interview with the recruiter based in London to talk about my background, my expectations and detail the position and the company. 3 days later, phone interview with the VP of the department who validated my profile and wanted me to meet a manager on-site. 1h interview with a manager and 2 days later the recruiter sent me an email to tell me I got the job. I received the offer 2 days after.

My interview with the recruiter was good, they asked me a lot about my resume and current job. The next week I had a three person panel interview. It started with only one woman who seemed stressed and was abrupt. She repeatedly asked me about my start date and stressed that they really needed someone quickly because they were swamped. She didn't ask me about my skills or experience or any situational questions, just about how many people I'd managed. I felt I could have done a good job but didn't get to show it. After 15 minutes, two more women joined and didn't say anything. I never even received an email about their decision or if the position was filled. It was really unprofessional and disappointing.

The first interview went great, everyone was super friendly, and since I was prepped, it was a breeze. I did a power point presentation on a topic I chose from a list of five. It was over webcam. I didn't hear back for two weeks, so I emailed the recruiter and they said they were still interviewing. Another two weeks passed, and I got a call for a second interview. That also went well. I nailed all the questions and my experience was spot on for what they were looking for. My references were also excellent and they seemed happy. Then, radio silence. For months. Not even a rejection email. So, I'm pretty confused about how it all went down.
