It starts with submitting a resume and cover letter on their website. Then, there will be a first round with either an existing organizer or an impact "employee". The second round is a group interview, after which they take up to two weeks to get back with an offer. If you missed all group interviews for the year (like me), they do a 1-on-1 in person with you.

A campus recruiter reached out and we had a few conversations. I submitted my online application and got a response soon after. We set up the first interview, which went well. I've been invited for a second round interview in a major city nearby; it includes a full day of training and group interviews (I haven't attended this part yet). Important note: the acceptance email requires you to submit a specific writing sample within 24 hours.

You'll start with a quick chat, in person or over the phone, with someone who's currently an organizer. After that, if things go well, you'll be invited to a group interview in a major city nearby. This group interview is a full-day affair where you'll do some canvassing, participate in a mock strategy session, give a public speaking presentation, and have some one-on-one interviews. They'll also give you more details about the job and about USPIRG/Environment America. If they're really keen on hiring you, they'll pull you out of the final strategy session for one last interview.
