First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IMG Worldwide.
Live Operations Supervisor
The interview process had 2 stages, and it felt pretty informal and laid-back. In each stage, I met with two interviewers. They asked a mix of technical and competency-based questions. The whole vibe was really welcoming, and they seemed interested in both my personality fit and my general competence for the role.
- Could you describe the process of distributing world feeds from Poland to global broadcasters, and what factors you would take into account during this process?
Analyst
This was a really unprofessional hiring process. The recruitment lead reached out via email to set up interviews. However, I didn't hear back within the specified timeframe. When I followed up, they said they were still 'working out details.' After a few more days of waiting, I got an email from their ATS stating my application was rejected. I followed up a third time asking about the conflicting information, but got no response. While I know companies get busy, ghosting candidates after initiating contact isn't a great way to attract talent.
- What dates and times are you available for a call?
Assistant Producer Digital and Social
I applied through Linkedin and then got an email asking me to interview. Two people interviewed me for about 30 minutes and the questions were tough but I did my best. They said I'd hear back in two weeks and this morning they called to say I didn't get the job. They did ask if I'd be interested in shadowing someone for free to get experience, which might lead to a freelance gig. I found this offer pretty insulting because I went for a fixed-term contract and they offered me unpaid work experience as a consolation.
- Can you tell me about your editing experience?
- What made you apply for this particular role?
- Which editing software have you used before?
Financial Analyst
I visited IMG academy in Brandenton for a financial analyst position. The process was misleading and a waste of time. After an initial phone interview, they asked me to come in for an in-person meeting with the finance team, which went well and included dinner afterwards. Then, they had me come back to interview with 6 other team members and gave me a campus tour, followed by another dinner. I thought my chances were good, but two days later, they emailed to say they weren't extending an offer. From initial impressions, there seems to be a lack of culture and synergy between departments, with some arrogant employees.
- Can you explain the accounting process for crediting and debiting an account when someone books a sports camp for a week?
- Tell me about your interest in working for a sports academy.
- What is your experience with athletics?
