The whole process took about eight months and included four interviews. It started with one phone call, followed by three panel interviews. Make sure your references are solid because they do check them. They also gave me some writing tests, and I had to prepare a presentation in PPT for one of them.

I applied online and was told I was qualified but had to complete an online skills test covering basic Microsoft Office, including Excel functions and advanced Word features like mail merge. About two to three weeks later, I was contacted to schedule an interview. This interview was a panel with four people from the department I applied to. They asked about my background and how it fit the Staff Assistant role at the IMF. A week and a half after that, they asked for three references. Then, about 3 days after the reference check, I got a conditional job offer. It's conditional because they still need to do a background check and verify three more references before the offer is final.

I got referred by a friend to the MCD Department. They got in touch and set up an interview, but then they cancelled and rescheduled it 6 times before they finally confirmed a time. It was a really unprofessional experience. When I finally had the interview, it was pretty standard. It ended with a short editing task.
