& Process

The interview was pretty standard, like at other places. It started with me presenting, and then the committee asked questions. They used these questions to check out my experience and skills, and also to have a chat to get a better feel for why I want the job and how I see it.

it was great and easy. The HR was helpful and professional. He asked many technical questions. The interviewers were proficient and asked many questions. The interview lasted for an hour.

I applied online and had a phone interview mostly about my background and experience. Then I was invited for 2 sets of in-person interviews, 2 weeks apart. The first set focused on testing my technical skills and attitude. I felt confident I did really well in these technical interviews and the interviewers seemed impressed. The second set involved a personality assessment. I thought this also went quite well. However, a conversation with one of the final interviewers suggested he felt I wasn't a good fit for the position. A week later, I got a simple email saying I wasn't a match. I wondered why I was even invited in the first place since they already knew my background and experience from the phone interview. In the end, it was a total waste of 6 weeks of time and energy! To add to this experience, within a month, I applied for another position. I was invited for another interview, given the excuse that I made a good impression in my previous interviews! (I don't understand why I didn't get the job then) This also went well, and I was told I was among the top 2 candidates for the position before the final interview. After the final interview, I again received a generic email stating I was not a match. I must say, I have now lost my respect and high opinion of the company and its hiring practices. I wonder why they waste candidates' time and money by inviting them for multiple interviews, only to eventually just say they aren't a match.
