I didn't make it past the first round, and I think it's because the recruiter on the phone interview seemed really uninterested from the start. It felt like she was doing other things, maybe even walking around. I had a feeling early on my chances were low because she wasn't engaged at all during our chat—it was almost like a script, just asking questions and moving on. I get that recruiters are busy and this is just part of their job, but it was a bummer to put in my time and effort, feeling excited about a good opportunity where I thought I'd be a great fit, only to feel like it was a waste of time. A more thoughtful candidate experience and clearer communication would have been nice.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation

This company's hiring process is really poorly managed and needs experienced recruiters. I spent over 4.5 hours in interviews and was told there were still three more rounds to go, which is excessive, even for top tech companies. They kept asking me the same questions across all interviews, showing a lack of direction on what they're looking for. The live case studies were unclear in their objectives, and the lack of company insight made them a waste of time. The CEO interviewing on weekends is a red flag for work-life balance. The entire process took a month and a half, with more weeks of interviews ahead. I got and accepted another offer in half the time. They're going to struggle to attract candidates when the market improves.

Behavioral Technical Case

The interview process started with a recruiter phone screen and then moved to an interview panel at Imagen's WeWork space in Soho. I didn't feel sold on the culture at Imagen after the interview. The team seemed tired, unenthusiastic about their work or leadership, and definitely not excited to meet me. The interview felt like a grilling with unclear, open-ended questions lacking direction. It was a poor experience overall. However, I appreciate the good communication from the recruiting staff and hope they will consider providing training or tools for effective interviewing to the panels.

Case Behavioral Technical

This was for a role with Aligned Imaging Solutions (AIS) but since they aren't on Glassdoor I'm leaving it on Imagen Technologies page (parent company). I was referred to the role by a colleague who had previously applied. I received a response from the recruiters almost immediately and they kicked off the interview process in short order. The interview process was fairly standard, call with the recruiter, then the hiring manager, followed by 2 rounds of interviews consisting of case studies, cultural and technical assessments. After interviewing with some senior staff they actually requested more time to get to know me better which really put into perspective how detailed they were trying to be in hiring for the role. What really stood out to me throughout the entire process was the level of openness and communication. Both the recruiter and hiring manager were accessible for questions via email and phone and the recruiter was reaching out every step of the way with updates and timelines. While I was not given an offer, the recruiter set up time for a call and gave me a detailed break down of the decision making process and why I wasn't the best fit at this. All in all, it really felt like this company valued my time and effort in this process as much as their own which was really refreshing in today's job market.
