Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ImageFIRST.
Business Manager
The interview process was great. It started with a recruiter phone screen, followed by a questionnaire. Then, I had a virtual interview with the hiring manager, a plant tour with the GM, and an in-person interview with the hiring manager again. After that, I spent a day in the field with a rep, and finished with a virtual interview with the VP. It was a long process but it was done with ease. I enjoyed gaining insight on the company and role.
- What are your 5-year career aspirations?
Manager
Had an initial call with a recruiter that wqas 30 minutes. Was told I would hear about next steps withinn a week. I never heard back eventhough I cintinued to politely follow up through multiple different avenues. Very disappointing experience.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
Business Manager
It started with a quick phone screen with the Regional Sales Manager. Then there was this personality assessment where you answer questions about your daily work habits and sales approach, and how many contacts you have who could be viable leads. After that, I had a more formal interview over Microsoft Teams with the RSM again. The next step was a 'day in the life' ride-along with the Regional Sales Manager, which was followed by an interview with the General Manager that included a plant tour. The final interview was with the Regional Vice President. So, there were 4 distinct stages before getting the job offer.
- What's your strategy for dealing with 'no' when prospecting?
- Once you've presented your proposal and quote, what's your approach to closing the deal?
