First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IMA Financial Group.
Account Manager
There were three rounds of interviews, but none were particularly challenging. More than anything it seemed like they were looking for a good culture fit. The first round was with a hiring manager. The second was with the office manager. The third was with the person who would be my direct manager.
- What is my Excel proficiency?
Technology Specialist
The hiring process was pretty efficient and simple. They had two interviews done remotely and the final one was in person. The whole thing from the first interview to my start date took just under two months. Overall, it was a good experience.
- How do you handle prioritizing when faced with multiple tasks?
Account Executive
The hiring team and HR were super friendly and personable, making me want to give my best effort in the interviews. However, the process took over two months. Some hiring managers were really condescending, and one even made a sexist comment that the others laughed at. I should have paid more attention to these red flags. After the final interview, I was told HR would contact me about the next steps. I didn't hear back for two weeks. When HR finally called, they extended a verbal offer and said they'd call the next day with the final salary. Another two weeks passed. I reached out and a few days later got a call saying the position wasn't open anymore. The red flags and poor communication were a clear sign.
- Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
Data Analyst
I applied online and IMA Financial got back to me in about two weeks. I got an email for the first interview, and it wasn't as formal as I thought it would be, it felt rushed and unceremonious. The interviewer said she would set me up for the next step, but I never heard back from them. They didn't send any follow-up emails, like a 'Thank you for your time' or 'Sorry, we're moving forward with other candidates.' I thought that was unprofessional.
