First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IKON.
Account Executive
I had a really good and easy time interviewing with IKON. A recruiter reached out to me, and we scheduled a chat to discuss the job, IKON/Ricoh, and my background. That call was about 45 minutes, and I got a lot of info about the role, which is looking for new grads. About a week later, I got invited for an in-person interview with the two sales managers. It was all behavioral questions since it's an outside sales job. They're looking to fill the role quickly, even though they're not actively hiring right now because someone is getting promoted. Both managers were super friendly and professional. It seems like a great company to join.

Copy Operator
I had a 20-minute phone interview with a recruiter. About two weeks later, I had two in-person meetings with the manager, then her boss, and then his boss. They repeatedly asked about my managing technique because they had a lot of issues on site and wanted to ensure I wouldn't be too harsh. They were unprepared, and I ended up waiting 30 minutes. I learned more about what was wrong with the site than about my actual responsibilities. The manager has since left, and her staff is out of control.
- Tell me about your approach to managing.
- How do you manage difficult situations without being too heavy-handed?
Account Manager
The interview process was quite long, spanning three months and involving interviews with three different managers. While some questions were standard, there were also a few thought-provoking, unconventional ones. My recommendation is to dress professionally in a suit and tie and bring multiple copies of your resume. Try to stay relaxed during the process.
- Given this pen, please sell it to me.
Senior On-Site Services Specialist
I had a one-on-one interview in a quiet office. I actually liked the interview process, it gave me confidence in the company. The gentleman who interviewed me was very professional and passionate about the company and his job. He stopped by my site a few times after hiring me to see how things were going.
- Are you able to commit to the company for a year?
