QA Analyst
Got a few emails from the recruiter over a few weeks asking for my availability, but didn't hear back until the last one. Phone interviews were okay and then I got called in for an interview. It went well, but they did mention the roles are high pressure and require working around 60 hours a week. Appreciated their honesty about it. Emailed HR after the interview for feedback, but no reply. It would have been nice to at least get an email letting me know if I wasn't considered, given the time and effort I put in.
- What are some basic questions about QA testing?
Quality Assurance Manager
The interview process began with a phone screening by a Technical Recruiter. This was followed by a phone interview with the Hiring Manager. The next step was an in-person meeting that included the Technical Recruiter, Tech.Lead, and two Hiring Managers. There's another upcoming step involving the Director of IT and the VP. It was a very positive experience overall. The Technical Recruiter was knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring the role was a good match. The people were nice and friendly. They provided a lot of details about the day-to-day tasks, workload, and potential challenges of the position.
- Can you discuss your past experience in QA?
- What QA tools and software are you familiar with?
- What is your understanding of QA methodologies?
Software Engineer
So I had this on campus interview at WPI's career development center back in March. It was basically about talking about a project from my resume. They also asked me about my most proficient programming language. My friend who interviewed for a summer internship said her whole process was just one round, and she got an offer about a week later.
- Can you tell me about a project from your resume?
- Which programming language do you feel most comfortable with?
- Could you explain what a structure is in C?
Release Engineer
The whole hiring process was seamless and fast, taking about 3 weeks from online resume submission to getting an offer. It started with an initial phone screen with HR, then moved to a technical phone interview with the hiring manager. The following week involved the typical in-person interview where I met with HR and 4 other people for around 30 minutes each.
- How does your experience align with our goals?
