I applied for a different job and they invited me to apply for the Principal Research Role on October 3, 2014. A few days later, an HR person called me asking about my current job and employer. He mentioned he would pass my resume to the hiring managers for review. On October 14, 2014, he called back to let me know I was scheduled for an interview on October 20, 2014. The interview began with the director and a senior manager. They asked me several questions, mostly focusing on my ability to write reports. Then, I was given 10 minutes to solve two written problems on the board: 'How many watches are there in the United States?' and 'How many of those watches are Rolex?'. After the 10 minutes, the senior manager returned to wrap up the interview. We discussed my answers and reasoning. He mentioned that if I moved to the next stage, I would receive an online test to complete, and they would evaluate my completion time and performance. He concluded by saying I'd hear from them soon.

Got selected after the CV screening and Pymetrics round for the SUMMER RESEARCH ANALYST ROLE WITH PPO - OIL AND GAS STRATEGY TEAM at Microsoft teams. Then, interviewed with a Principal Analyst from the department I applied to. The interview was very conversational, he was casually dressed and waited even though I got 5 minutes delayed due to network issues. Technical questions were on the industry and his department, essentially trying to gauge how well you knew what you were getting into. They were keen to know future plans and ensure you know every stat in your CV well. Lots of industry questions, and CV questions.

The interview process was pretty standard. First, I did a pymetrics test, which is basically just a bunch of games to see how I think. After that, there were four rounds. The first was with a recruiter, then a one-on-one call with a director, and finally two panels of three or four directors each on a video call.

  • What experience do you have with various filings?
