First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IHS Markit.
Consultant
It all began with a day at the London office where they introduced us graduates to Markit and the FinTech consulting roles, focusing on Enterprise Data Management. After that, they emailed folks they liked to see if they were still interested and wanted their CV. Then, I was asked for an interview, which was pretty straightforward. It involved 3 interviews back-to-back at the London office, followed by a final phone chat with my potential line manager.
- Why are you interested in Markit?
- Can you give an overview of your CV?
- What are your expectations for this role?
Technical Advisor
After initial recruiter calls, I had a phone call with a BD director in Norway. Then, there were two interviews at the Moscow office with an Account Manager and the Sales Director. The last two parts were mainly procedural since the decision-makers already liked my profile. The whole process, including all stages, lasted about 4 hours. It mostly involved confirming my background, asking some standard questions, and making sure I was aware of the new functions.
- What are your salary expectations?
Consultant
So I had two phone screenings, then an online assessment, and then an onsite interview. The onsite had both behavioral and technical questions, and they were asked in both Korean and English. I also had to do a model onsite to show how good I am with Excel and Powerpoint.
- What's your perspective on the Asian gas market?
