Account Manager
Recruiter was responsive and professional after the initial call, and encouraged me to follow up by email. I did, but never heard back. I tried to reconnect multiple times and was ghosted. It's a bummer when a good start just goes silent, especially after being asked to do more. At a minimum, candidates deserve clear communication when things change.
- Describe how you handle chaotic situations.
Account Manager
It was a pretty chill process, like 3-4 steps with different managers and the sales manager. We chatted a lot about what they expect and what the industry is like. They really took time to get to know my goals and experience to see if I was a good fit for the job. A big part of the conversation was about digital advertising and all the different ad products they offer.
- Can you describe your approach to pitching new clients?
Account Manager
I found this job on The Ladders, and it was advertised as a $100k position. Two days later, I got a quick call to schedule a phone interview for the next Monday. The interviewer called 20 minutes late but talked with me for a full hour. She mentioned the salary was $45k base plus commissions, which would only be about $25k more. That definitely doesn't add up to $100k. By the end of that week, I had a 20-minute in-person meeting with the hiring manager. He was also late. He had a really negative and challenging attitude, cutting me off when I tried to answer his questions. The whole experience left me with a really bad impression of Clear Channel.
- Can you describe your professional background?
- What motivated you to apply for this position?
- What are your key strengths and areas for development?
