I had a standard phone interview, where they asked me about SDLC cycles, the testing process, reports, and my past project experiences. Although I was still in campus, I didn't get a 1:1 session. I expected a more technical interview given the role, but I was a bit surprised that it seemed like they just needed to fill spots, and whether I actually knew the material didn't seem to matter.

The interview process included two technical rounds, with the first being quite lengthy and lasting over an hour. This round covered SDLC processes in detail and probed my experience with technologies like COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM. The second round was shorter but also technical, re-testing similar logical concepts. Finally, there was an HR round, which I found unengaging due to the way the interviewer posed questions.
