I went through a two-stage interview process. First, there was an HR screen where I talked about my tech background and salary expectations. Then, I had a technical interview with two engineers, a team lead and a manager who also had an engineering background. They asked me about Go, databases, system design, and some behavioral questions. After the discussion, we had an online coding task. Unfortunately, I received a rejection email stating I lacked basic CS knowledge, without specifying what areas. The interview environment felt high-pressure; I was interrupted frequently, the interview lacked structure, and the requirements seemed to change as we went. It felt like the interviewers believed they were the only ones with the correct understanding.

So I had this initial interview back in July with a recruiter, and then just radio silence, no feedback or anything. Fast forward to December, another recruiter hits me up on LinkedIn, asking if I'm still interested. We chat, and she says the next step is a task to do. I'm like, cool, send it over. But instead of the task, I get a generic rejection email saying they're not moving forward. This totally contradicted our conversation, so I messaged the recruiter for clarity, but never heard back. It was super unprofessional and disorganized, felt like nobody was on the same page. Even if it's a no, people deserve better communication.

I applied online through the portal. There were three interview rounds in total. First, there was an initial phone call, followed by two technical rounds. They asked questions based on my resume and also wanted me to be knowledgeable about my projects. For the Data Scientist role, they suggested learning SQL and Python and also asked about some use cases.

I recently had a very short interview, only about 12 minutes, with an HR person. They asked some basic questions about my experience and technical skills. What was really disappointing was that I asked for feedback by email afterward, and I never got anything. It feels like they don't care about candidates' time. If a company can't give feedback or really look at candidates, it makes you wonder about their whole hiring process. I'd hesitate to apply there again.
