Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IDinsight.
Manager
The interview process has 4-5 steps. First is a fitment discussion, second is a case interview, third an interview with someone from the leadership and fourth an interview with team lead/director.
- Tell me why you're interested in IDinsight.
- Can you explain your understanding of large-scale surveys?
- How do you approach data quality?
Manager
First, there was an application screening, and then a timed math test to check quantitative abilities. The first interview was a mix of behavioral and case study questions, but more focused on the case side, where I had to walk through practical examples of IDinsight's work and demonstrate my knowledge of evaluation methods. The final interview was also a mix, but leaned more towards behavioral questions, assessing cultural fit, organizational alignment, and leadership capabilities.
- Imagine you're meeting a head of a state government who wants to evaluate an education program. How would you set up that initial meeting, and what kinds of solutions might you suggest?
Senior Manager
This was the first interview with a hiring company, and frankly, I felt they misrepresented the institution. The questions were good, but the interviewer wasn't very enthusiastic and his answers to my questions showed it. It made me lose interest in the job, and I guess that's why I didn't get past this first interview.
- Tell me about your relevant experience for this role.
