Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IDEXX Laboratories.
Intern
There were only two phone calls. No in-person interview. It took quite a long time until they got back to me. But from the first phone call everything went very quickly. It wasn't a real interview, it was actually just an introduction.
- Could you please introduce yourself and explain your experience from your studies?
Internship
There was 1 HR interview and 1 manager interview, and they were planning to have another manager interview. The managers I spoke with were unprofessional, wearing pyjamas and turning off their cameras mid-conversation. The job they were offering didn't match the description posted online. They also failed to inform me about the next steps after the interview, and I had to find out myself after 20 days. I'm glad I wasn't offered the position, as I decided I didn't want to work there after witnessing the managers' unprofessionalism. It was a complete waste of time.
- Could you please tell us about yourself and your experience?
- What are your expectations for this internship?
Intern
The hiring process was really smooth and they kept to the schedule. First, there was a phone screening, and after that, I had two panel interviews. I thought the screening was tougher than the final interview. The recruiter was super nice and great to talk to.
- Can you share an instance where you had to make a tough call? Describe the situation and the outcome of your choice.
