First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IDEA Public Schools.
Administrative Assistant
The interview was a virtual video call at 7 am with both Principals. It felt like a good cop/bad cop situation, possibly to test how I'd handle different personalities, though they didn't seem to work well together. The interview was disorganized and they appeared unprepared. Afterwards, I was invited to shadow and felt pressured to find a downside to the job by the end of the day. While the school staff were great, the leadership could have been better, and I sensed the stress of the person I was shadowing.
- Were you asked if you were bilingual, even though it wasn't a requirement?
Administrative Assistant
I had a interview with one of the principals and her assistant. It was good got a bit nervous. They asked for a sample of my organization skills I brought a binder from work where I keep all monthly reports.
- How were your organizational skills?
Administrative Assistant
It was a 30-minute panel discussion with a very open and friendly vibe. They asked general questions and I did a mock exercise on time management. We also talked about my goals and past experience. Be ready to showcase your time management skills.
