Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at IDC (International Data Corporation).
Market Research Analyst
It was a general interview process, mostly asking about my CV and tech comfort. The interviewers were nice and knew their stuff and business well. But after I passed the 3 rounds, the offer part was terrible. I waited over 4 months for the offer, and they kept telling me to check back at the end of the month, then wait another month. HR even suggested I look elsewhere because the company had big problems, leaving me back at square one. The long wait was super stressful.
- The most difficult part of the entire process was to wait for the offer letter for 4-5 months not knowing when it will come by.
- Terrible experience.
Market Analyst
There were 3 rounds for the interview. The first was an Advance Excel Test focusing on functionalities, the second a Technical Interview lasting 1 hour, and the third a Managerial Discussion for 15 minutes. You could be rejected at any stage. It was a great experience and a learning process overall. Now I'm waiting for the results and the offer.
- Tell me about your experience with Pivot Tables and other Excel functionalities like Conditional Formatting.
Market Analyst
The interview process was good. I prepared a test case, then had an interview with the domain head in APAC, and after that with the WW head. It was a very good discussion with them. They were very knowledgeable and cool during the interviewing process.
- What's your strategy for persuading a client to invest in the ICT market?
- Can you share any experience you have interacting with CXOs?
