Project Manager
It was a pretty standard 3-round process. The last one was in person, and I met with the Associate Director, a PM, some senior account leads, and the creative lead. They asked usual questions, mostly about whether I'd be a good fit personality-wise and if I had prior brand experience relevant to the accounts I'd be working on.
- Describe your approach to managing multiple concurrent projects.
Project Manager
After an initial phone screen, the next step involves a series of interviews that typically last about 2 hours. During this time, you'll meet with 3 to 4 people, including members of the Project Management team and team leads from the projects you might be assigned to.
- What's your strategy for managing multiple, competing priorities?
- Can you share an example of a difficult situation you encountered and how you dealt with it?
Project Manager
The interview process was pretty easy but took a long time, about two hours and I met with three people. They said they needed to hire someone fast, but I had to chase HR via email and phone for two months before they finally sent a poorly written, copied-and-pasted email saying they decided to go with someone else. My tip: if you're going to take a while to decide, at least keep candidates updated on the hiring status and respond to emails, voicemails, and answer phone calls.
- Tell me about a challenge you faced and how you handled it.
