First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Icing by Claire's.
Assistant Store Manager
I applied about two weeks ago and then got an email about setting up a phone interview. I had the phone interview the next day and the person mostly asked me about my past experience, especially since I don't have any official management experience yet. After that, they scheduled a time for me to meet with the District Manager and I interviewed with her in person. Just be yourself and be professional, and you should be good.
- Could you describe your management style?
Store Manager
First you interview with the store manager. Then you have an interview with the district or regional manager. After that, there's a hiring paperwork session. You need to bring a resume, some reliable references and be dressed nicely. Once you're hired, we do a background check, and you'll need to give us your passport or birth certificate, drivers license, and be able to do direct deposit.
- Are you okay with doing ear piercing, interacting with customers, and working alone in the store?
- Are you comfortable with counting cash and making bank deposits?
- What value do you add to the sales team for this company?
Store Manager
I went through three interviews for this role. First, I spoke with the district manager. Then, I interviewed with the regional manager. Finally, I met with the VP of sales. The interviewers might have left the company since then, some voluntarily, some not. Because I have a lot of experience, the questions weren't too difficult for me.
- How do you inspire your team members?
