I was first contacted by an HR person who set up a phone interview with a manager. About a week later, I got a creative writing task and then an in-person interview with three other managers. I was initially told I'd have two phone interviews before the in-person one, and the HR rep didn't mention the writing assignment. During the in-person interview, they barely asked about my writing submission. They mainly seemed focused on how I came up with the rebate dollar amount, which I thought was a pointless question since the instructions didn't specify that. The in-person interview was rough because I felt they had already decided not to hire me before I even got there. From the start to the end, the interviewers were really cold and didn't seem interested in me.

The interview process started with an initial phone interview that was scheduled for 30 minutes but actually ran for 45 minutes. After that, I had an in-person interview with three Account Managers at the Ibotta office. The overall experience was great and smooth, with quick response times. I was very impressed.

I went through three interviews in a row, and they were all one-on-one. They really focused on what I'd done before. I should have talked more about the specific skills needed for the job I was applying for, but I didn't do that enough, and it ended up costing me.
